How to install safety net for horizontal use
Install safety net for horizontal use is a crucial part in the operator protection. Proper installation minimizes the risk of accidents. It ensures that the safety nets perform their function of preventing falls and securing the work area effectively.
For this reason, safety nets must be installed by competent and qualified personnel following these steps:
1.- Spread the Visornets S Type EN-1263.1:2014 safety net panes on the ground underneath the area to be protected after verifying that there are no elements on the floor that may damage them.
2.- Join the corresponding panes when several nets are required to complete the area to be covered; these joins must be made every 10 cm, mesh by mesh and creating a reinforced knot
every 10 squares with the joining rope Visornets EN-1263.1:2014 Type O (effort superior to 7,5 kN).
3.- The panes can be fitted without joining them, but in this case they will have to overlap, and the minimum overlap between panes is 2 metres.
4.- The nets are fitted directly on the trusses or the arches with the help of a cherry picker; the joining to the arch is executed with a tying rope EN-1263.1:2014 G Type (traction effort superior to 15 kN) with double strand load. The net has to be as close as possible to the work area.
Important: Do not hoist the nets to the structure by hand, even with anchored Personal Protection Equipment. Except in extreme cases where you need to request from us the specific
procedure.
5.- The joining of the net to the structure will be executed with a maximum separation between elements of 2,5 metres, the recommended distance being 1 metre.
6.- The excess net will be collected by rolling it over the border rope before doing the corresponding anchoring to the structure. It is recommended to collect the same amount of
mesh squares on both sides of the net.
These instructions ensure a safe and effective installation of safety nets for horizontal use, in accordance with established standards. By following these guidelines, the integrity of the safety nets is maintained, providing maximum protection for workers and the structure. Adhering to these standards is crucial for maintaining a safe working environment at elevated heights.
