Visornets systems, used in the remodeling of the Colón Towers in Madrid
The Torres Colón staff works protected with Type U safety nets with a double layer of anti-debris mesh and with Visornets protection net solutions for falling objects
At Visornets we are deeply proud to participate in the remodeling process of the mythical Torres Colón in Madrid. Our Type U safety nets with double layer of anti-debris mesh as well as a solution of protection nets for falling objects, have made up the collective security provision with safety nets for this project.
The Torres Colón is a key architectural complex in the city of Madrid that was already a pioneer in the installation of safety nets as means of collective protection.
Torres Colón: Nearly Zero Energy Buildings
With the current remodeling of the Colón Towers, projected by the Luis Vidal + Arquitectos studio, it seeks to reach the milestone of making the construction the first high-rise office building considered Nearly Zero Energy Buildings (NZEB) in Spain.
To achieve this, the emblematic Torres Colón will have a high-efficiency façade that will improve acoustic, thermal and light comfort, generating healthy environments. Similarly, it will also have cogeneration and trigeneration systems as energy efficiency solutions: the building itself will generate energy.
This project seeks to make Torres Colón the most sustainable building in the capital of Spain.
